29 March 2010: Annoying behaviors

There was this crazy person doing something like super sets between the stationary bike and the cybex machines. Didn't wipe the Cybex machine down once. :-(.
Annoying!

30 March 2010: Swimming

1850 yards: 1575 free, 175 back, 50 breast and 50 fly. Last night, the club was empty. :-)Tonight, the club was full. :-(
Susan and I swam in the cold pool.
The Exhibitionists were in the hot tub, and there was a guy spitting in the warm pool ("Spitter") where Liz was swimming and someone walking and yakking in the cold pool ("Yakker").
We went home and had steamed vegetables and tofu, brown rice, potato salad and cupcakes!

29 March 2010: Cardio and Weights

Treadmill, bicycle, Cybex (leg press, calves, pull down and chest pull) and Free Weights (bench press, shoulder press, pullovers, squats and dead lifts ). I continued the "Super Squats" program on the Cybex leg press: 20 reps at 240 lbs. :-). Then, I went home and ate spaghetti, potato and vegetable salad. :-)

28 March 2010: Walking and Swimming

Liz is here!
2.5 miles around the neighborhood to the Rec Center and to Camino Arco.
2050 yards: 1775 free, 175 back, 50 breast and 50 fly. I used my new orange paddles for 200 yards and found out how to stop water leaking through the paddle by holding my hand flat.
Full moon tonight.
Then we had soy kielbasa, saurkraut, potatoes and super salad! :-)

I continued the "Super Squats" program on the Cybex leg press: 20 reps at 235 lbs. :-). Then, I went home and ate vegetables, tofu, brown rice and.....cupcakes! :-)

24 March 2010: Swimming

1600 yards: 1350 free, 150 back, 50 breast and 50 fly. The Inside Hot tub was not hot, so we went outside. A couple came in the rear entrance (we think there's secret hole in the fence) and joined us in the tub. They were still there when we finished swimming!
Then we went home and had Susan's Super Soup and Tofutti Ice Cream :-).

One killed in traffic accident

TUCSON - A 62 Year-old man was killed in a 4 vehicle accident Wednesday. It happened just after 10AM near 22nd and KOLB in Tucson. A second person injured in the accident was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The names of the victims have not been released.A witness says he was driving along 22nd Street when another vehicle crossed the median and struck two vehicles behind him.One lane of traffic is stilled closed. Tucson Fire Department says it's unsure how long the area will be closed.

20 March 2010: Swimming

1850 yards: 1575 free, 175 back, 50 breast and 50 fly. There were annoying people in the inside hot tub. So, we used the outside hot tub to warm up. Nice resurfacing job! The big pool was open, but it was really cold, so we swam in the small lap pool. It got really cold at the end, cold enough for the Matrix Coats. Then we went home and had pizza, salad and Tofutti Ice Cream :-).

Treadmill, bicycle, Cybex (leg press and calves) and Free Weights (bench press, shoulder press, pullovers, squats and dead lifts ). Mr. Ellipse was in the Upstairs Cardio Room. I continued the "Super Squats" program on the Cybex leg press: 20 reps at 225 lbs. :-). And then I went home and had Potatoe Burritos, Beans with Chiles, Salad, Cookies and Decaffeinated Diet Coke On The Rocks (DDCOTR) with Susan :-).

17 March 2010: Swimming

1600 yards: 1350 free, 150 back, 50 breast and 50 fly. It was warmer today, so I didn't really need my Matrix Coat, but it was nice to have it anyway!

16 March 2010: Cardio and Weights

Treadmill, bicycle, Cybex (leg press, calves, pull down, chest pull) and Free Weights (bench press, shoulder press, pullovers, squats and dead lifts ). The Nasty Girl was in the Downstairs Cardio Room, Mr. Ellipse was in the Upstairs Cardio Room and Two Stupid Boys were in the Free Weight Room (one was yelling "Drive It" while the other one was laughing). Annoying! :-(. I continued the "Super Squats" program on the Cybex leg press: 20 reps at 220 lbs. :-). And then I went home and had Super Spaghetti with Susan :-).

15 March 2010: Power Blackout

There was a power blackout in our neighborhood tonight. We decided not to go to the gym because the garage door was open. So, we're going tomorrow.
Susan made Super Spaghetti while I held the flashlight. Of course, the power came back on right after we finished eating.
Then, we took a walk around the neighborhood. Two Tucson Electric Power trucks stopped near us on the other side of the road and we talked with the guys. They told us that a rat, who was foreclosed on and evicted from his rat hole, had eaten through the wires in the box up the street and got electrocuted. We walked by another power box that was beeping.
The stars were really bright tonight. It was windy and clear. The city lights, in the distance, were really nice too.
Tomorrow, I am going to the hardware store to get some more batteries and a flashlight light bulb.

14 March 2010: Swimming

1950 yards: 1675 free, 175 back, 50 breast and 50 fly. I did just over 6000 yards this weekend! :-). I need a new cap and goggles and I am going to get some paddles too.

13 Mar 2010: Swimming

2300 yards: 2000 free, 200 back, 50 breast and 50 fly. I took my long "Matrix" coat tonight so I didn't get cold walking to/from the lap pool.

I felt the water spilling out of my left hand when I was pulling tonight, so I moved my thumb and little finger to keep the water in. It felt like it was chattering when I was pulling.

We finished just in the nick of time again tonight. Breather was going out of the men's locker room when I was coming back.

But, then there was a guy in the hot tub who was checking out my speedo when I walked in. And then two skanky girls came in wearing some really bad smelling perfume. Annoying. :-(.

After swimming, Susan and I went home and had tofu, vegetables, rice and kiwis. She added sugar to my kiwi. :-)!!!!!

12 March 2010: Swimming

2100 yards: 1800 free, 200 back 50 breast and 50 fly. Tonight was the first time we swam in the lap pool and the first time I did more than 2000. :-). They Club heated up the lap pool so that it was warm enough to swim in while they finish re-coating the deck around the big pool. The water in the lap pool is much cleaner and the lights are much brighter. Also, there are backstroke flags so that I don't have to do a crash test to find the end of the lane. :-(.

I am going to try to get more than 5000 this weekend. This is the last weekend before the Club starts the Friday night BBQs. The pool is the main attraction for the BBQs, it's totally full and kids are doing cannonballs all night. There are 3 cover bands that rotate (Roadhouse and Tumbing Dice are two of the bands). And the pool and hot tub are a mess after the BBQ is over.

We finished just in the nick of time tonight....Breather did his first lap just as we were getting out. Breather doesn't put his face in the water and makes this whining sound all the time he is swimming. Annoying!!!!.

After swimming we went home and had burritos. :-).

1600 yards: 1350 free, 150 back 50 breast and 50 fly. Tonight was the last night swimming in the big pool for a while until the deck re-coating is finished. It was cold all night, rained heavily fr a few minutes about 3/4 into the workout, then stopped raining by the time we went home. We went home and had Susan's Super Spaghetti (SSS2) for dinner. :-)!!!!!

There was strange person in the Trainer's Edge room imitating Brad Pitt in in "Burn after Reading" on the treadmill. :-(. And two members of the Skank Patrol on treadmills in the other room. I heard, "Oh my God!" and "And then she said..." about 50 times each. :-(. I continued the "Super Squats" program on the Cybex leg press: 20 reps at 205 lbs. (:-. And then I went home and had Super Soup with Susan (SSS) for Dinner. :-)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

01 March 2010: Cardio and Weights

Treadmill, bicycle, Cybex (leg press, calves, pull down, chest pull) and Free Weights (bench press, squats, shoulder press, pullovers and dead lift).
I started the "Super Squats" program on the Cybex leg press: 2 sets of 10 at 200 lbs. (:-). This program adds 5lbs each workout and is guaranteed to add many lbs of muscle.
"Mr. Ellipse Machine was in the free weight room doing bar dips for a while. He is the most annoying person in the gym. :-(. Then, he left and got on.......the Ellipse Machine!!!!!! :-).

28 Feb 2010: Swimming

1600 yards: 1350 free, 150 back 50 breast and 50 fly. I swang (?) my arms wider for backstroke and seemed to go faster. It got cold at the end of the swim again. Then, we went home and had steamed organic vegetables (carrots, kale and broccoli) with organic tofu, organic brown rice with sesame seeds and organic strawberries :-)!!!! And decaffeinated diet coke. :-). "Open happiness"
